Fees and Policies
Fees
Session fees are as follows:
Individual Counselling (50 minutes): $160
Play Therapy (50 minutes): $179
EMDR (50 minutes): $179
Family Therapy (50 minutes): $179
Fees are subject to change and will be discussed prior to beginning services. Sessions are not covered by Medicare; however, many extended health insurance plans provide coverage for services offered by Registered Social Workers (RSW / MSW). Clients are encouraged to confirm coverage directly with their insurance provider.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of the session.
Accepted methods of payment include keeping a credit or debit card on file. Other methods may be discussed with administration and during intake sessions.
Receipts are provided for insurance or reimbursement purposes when applicable. Coverage varies by provider and plan.
Session Length
Standard sessions are 50 minutes in length.
This allows time for the session itself, as well as brief documentation and preparation between appointments.
Late arrivals may result in a shortened session in order to respect scheduled appointment times. Full session fees still apply.
Attendance and Continuity of Care
Regular attendance supports continuity and effectiveness of therapy. If attendance becomes inconsistent, services may be paused and next steps discussed collaboratively.
Cancellations, Missed Appointments, and Unexpected Situations
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible.
Late cancellations or missed appointments will be subject to a fee, as this time has been reserved specifically for you. That said, I recognize that unexpected situations can arise.
Weather-Related Cancellations
In cases of severe weather or unsafe travel conditions, cancellation or missed appointment fees may still apply. However, safety is a priority, and decisions related to weather will be approached with flexibility and consideration. Please reach out to discuss available options.
Illness and Children’s Appointments
If your child is unwell or experiencing symptoms that could place other children or families at risk, please contact me to reschedule the appointment. When possible, advance notice is appreciated. The health and safety of all clients and families is important, and flexibility is offered in these situations.
Communication Outside of Sessions
Brief administrative communication (such as scheduling or billing questions) is welcome between sessions. Therapeutic support is provided during scheduled appointments.
Virtual Services
Virtual sessions are available when appropriate.
Secure platforms are used to support privacy and confidentiality.
Confidentiality
All services are provided in accordance with professional standards and ethical guidelines governing confidentiality.
There are limits to confidentiality, including situations involving risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse of children or vulnerable adults, or when required by law. These limits will be reviewed as part of the consent process.

This practice does not provide emergency services.
If you are experiencing a crisis or require immediate support, please contact local emergency services or a crisis support line.
